Bureau Veritas provided inspection services including workplace health and safety, Indoor Air Quality, fire safety and electrical systems for the Spanish, Lille Europe (France) and International Organizations pavilions.
“We have been involved with 11 pavilions, several since design phase. The pavilions used appointed products and suppliers from their own country together with local contactors. Working as the project management team it was challenging but rewarding to deal with multiple players, form national and international clients and suppliers to the Chinese Authorities and Event Organizers”, says Piers Carlson, Environmental and Energy Efficiency services Manager for Bureau Veritas China, previously coordinator for the Italian Pavilion construction project.
The World Expo has a famous saying: “Everything starts with the World Expo”. The aim of Expo 2010 Shanghai China is to bring a green future to Shanghai, to promote the development of China’s green economy and to advance the global cooperation on green issues.
